Jacqueline Fernandez has claimed that she wants to prove herself as an actress.
The former Miss Sri Lanka, who debuted in Indian cinema two-and-a-half years ago with Aladin, also said that she is pleased that she is no longer thought of as just a beauty queen.
"I truly feel that this is my time to prove myself. I can stand up and say that 'Hey, I can actually do it'. Today, I am not just a pretty face standing or being there as an accessory," Real Bollywood quotes her as saying.
The actress is playing an alien in her latest film Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai and has an item number in Housefull.
"It's great and I am really excited. This is a role, which is completely out of the world. Pun intended. After all, I am playing an alien naa," Fernandez added.
"Also, compared to Aladin, my role is much bigger here while scope to perform as an actor is huge as well."
