It has been rumoured that the Hisss producers will use the festival to announce the film's national release date. Live snakes will apparently used as props during the movie's launch.
Hisss, directed by Jennifer Lynch, also stars Irrfan Khan, Divya Dutta and American character actor Jeff Doucette. Khan is expected to attend Cannes.
Love, Barack, which will also be introduced at the festival, is a romantic comedy set during Barack Obama's campaign for the US presidency.
