Khan 'takes over from ill Chawla'

Shah Rukh Khan has taken over as producer of Ra.One, according to Mid Day.

The actor, who is also starring in the film, reportedly took over Bobby Chawla's responsibilities after the producer suffered a brain haemorrhage in early April.

It has been suggested that director Anubhav Sinha has also been helping Khan with some of Chawla's duties to keep the shooting of the movie running smoothly.

Ra.One tells the tale of a videogame developer, Khan, who suddenly finds himself having to battle virtual villains in the real world.

Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Shahana Goswami also star in the film.
