The 42-year-old actor, who is currently filming in Canada for his new project Thank You, has decided to take a men-only break in Barbados to watch a World Twenty-20 cricket match because Housefull has been very popular in India.
"I have been working round the clock and thought that it was about time that I had a break so I decided to come to Barbados to watch the T20 matches and celebrate with my friends," said Kumar.
A source added: "Akshay is not sparing any expense. He wants his friends to have a grand time. The band of boys will spend four days there at one of the most luxurious five-star hotels. The actor's best friend Ajay Virmani, joins him from Toronto, with his son.
"Akki's friends were pushing him to have a party to celebrate the success of his last release Housefull, and he made this plan and surprised them. It will be a non-stop party for four days. Last year Tina and Aarav had accompanied him to the T20 tournament, this time it will be an all-boys treat."
Housefull, which was directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, also stars Deepika Padukone, Ritesh Deshmukh and Lara Dutta.
