The Rock On! actor takes on the role of an advisor to the Gandhi family, which is one of several characters modelled on those in the Indian epic Mahabarat.
In an interview with IANS, he revealed that he prepared for the role by watching younger Indian politicians.
"You see them to know how they moved and what their body languages were. You don't really copy or emulate them. In this film, we are all educated politicians."
However, he added that he had no plans to follow actors such as Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt into politics.
"You really need a different kind of qualities to be a politician. I don't think that I have those qualities, but, yes, if there is an issue, I will voice it."
