Apparently the 25-year-old actress made the request of director Jha because she wanted to learn from the experienced Devgan, 41.
"Katrina was eager to have more scenes with Ajay and learn more from him and was even willing to reduce her price for the film," a source revealed.
It has been suggested that Kaif wants to win a National Film Award in India and was hoping to pick up some tips from two-time gong winner Devgan when working with him.
