Chopra to be honoured in London
The producer, who has had huge successes with Munnabhai M.B.B.S and 3 Idiots, will be recognised for his contribution to cinema at the festival.
As part of the honour, a number of his films will be shown at the IFFL, which runs from June 25 to 29, with all the proceeds going to United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef).
"3 Idiots is a special film. It's a film that has changed my own daughter’s outlook towards education and she has taken up classical dancing full time," Real Bollywood quotes Chopra as saying.
"To have a charity screening for Unicef only echoes what the film is trying to say and we are really proud to be associated with such a noble cause."
His films An Encounter With Faces, Parinda, 1942: A Love Story and Eklavya: The Royal Guard will be screened at the festival, which will be held at Riverside Studios.
Chopra will also host a question and answer session about his career in Bollywood.
