The actress apparently refused to take off her sunglasses despite pleas from the paparazzi when she walked the red carpet at the event in Columbo, Sri Lanka.
It is thought that Chopra shunned the requests because she didn't have any make-up on.
"Guys I haven't done my eye make-up, so won't take them off," Real Bollywood quotes her as saying.
The star is well known for being image conscious after getting breast implants in 2009.
