Deol's mother 'sacks director Puri'

Esha Deol's mother Hema Malini has sacked director Mayur Puri from her daughter's film Tell Me O Khuda, according to Mid Day.

Malini, who was producing the movie, allegedly decided to helm the picture herself because she was unhappy with what Puri had shot.

Malini and Puri apparently had a number of creative differences.

Reports have claimed that Malini decided to sack the director after viewing some early footage that had been shot which did not comply with the original script.

She also worked as director on Dil Aashna Hai, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Divya Bharati, Mithun Chakraborthy and Jeetendra.
