Ratnam 'delays new Oberoi project'

Mani Ratnam has put his Vivek Oberoi film on hold, according to reports.

Mid Day says that the filmmaker has decided to delay the movie because his latest venture Raavan was not a hit at the Indian box office.

Apparently Ratnam, who was meant to be producing the Oberoi film, has decided he wants to concentrate on directing again so has shelved the project.

Some reports are suggesting that Ratnam's plans could be damaging for actor Oberoi's career as he has no other movies to work on after his latest picture Rakta Charita is released.
