Kapoor and Singh will be paired opposite each other in the Walt Disney-produced Bollywood film Do Doon Chaar, scheduled to release on October 8, the Hindustan Times reports.
Swati Shetty, executive director of Walt Disney Studios International Productions in India, said: "Do Dooni Chaar best represents Disney's storytelling. The touching narrative of the film will make every Indian family fall in love with the characters."
The film centres on the Duggals, a lower middle-class family. Kapoor plays the part of a schoolteacher and Singh his on-screen wife.
"The story of the Duggal family will resonate strongly with Indian audiences. It is a story of universal heartache and triumph," revealed Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee, CEO and creative director of Planman Motion Pictures.
Kapoor and Singh, the real-life parents of actor Ranbir Kapoor, appeared briefly together in one scene of last year's Love Aaj Kal.
