The premiere of the film will not go ahead unless lines from a remixed version of the song 'Apni Toh Jaise Taise' are edited out of the film, Mumbai Mirror reports.
Late director Prakash Mehra’s son Puneet has said that the film should not air while the material remains contentious.
The song originally featured in Amitabh Bachchan's Laawaris.
Eros International, which owns the rights to the film, has said it will remove the offending lines in order to show the film.
