The actor, who recently completed an extensive schedule of the film in London, is currently shooting in India.
"Nice to know that the release date for Ra.One has been fixed by someone... somewhere. Maybe they can now come and finish it as well," Khan posted on his Twitter page.
The sci-fi film is expected to remain in post-production for a number of months while visual and special effects are completed by Khan's Red Chillies VFX company.
The star added: "Will work backwards in terms of post-production and announce the release date in tandem with office guys. Should be around June."
Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor appear alongside Khan in the project.
