The actor is no stranger to working on remake projects, having appeared in Ghajini, the 2008 revamp of a Tamil film, which was itself inspired by Christopher Nolan's Memento.
Speaking to IANS, the 45-year-old star commented: "It is difficult to recapture the emotions that go in the making of the original.
"Though an artist takes liberty of remaking and venting out his excitable hormones, a remake can't meet the level of its original predecessor."
Khan's 1991 hit Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin was an adaptation of the 1934 film It Happened One Night.
