The Ghajini actress denied that the senior star and her producer husband Boney Kapoor had asked to work with her, the Hindustan Times reports.
"I share a great personal relationship with Sridevi maam, Boneyji and the entire family," Asin said in a statement.
"I was shooting in Chennai when I heard about the report that claimed Boneyji had approached me with some film and I refused. That’s just impossible."
Clarifying the situation, Kapoor explained: "We are working on scripts of Be Positive (the sequel to No Entry) and Mr. India 2. I am not someone who will approach actors with incomplete scripts. Let the script get completed first, then I will announce the star cast."
