The actor is reported to be playing retro music at the Poly Esther club in Colaba to promote his period release Action Replayy.
According to the Hindustan Times, director Vipul Shah commented: "We’re keen to put up a good show."
The filmmaker explained why the night will have a vintage feel to it, saying: "A major portion of our movie is set in the 1970s."
Kumar has apparently been practising his DJing skills when not on set.
The star's gig is scheduled to take place on September 25.
