On his Twitter page Roshan praised director Shekhar Kapur as a genius and pleaded with the press to refute the rumours.
"Actors like myself, aspiring to work with greats like Shekhar Kapur do not demand script changes," he wrote. "Pls (sic) respected people of the press, set the record straight."
Earlier in the week an Indian newspaper had quoted a source close to the director as saying that Roshan had asked to tweak the script.
Paani, which is due for release in 2011, is set 35 years in the future where a war rages for water, Earth's most valuable commodity.
