The star will be making his first ever appearance behind decks at the Mumbai nightspot Polyester, the Hindustan Times has reported.
Speaking to the paper, Kumar said: "I don't think any Indian actor or any actor anywhere has been a DJ at a night spot before. I'm quite excited."
However, director Vipul Shah, whose film is reportedly an Indian version of The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, revealed that the actor will be playing hits from 1970s films.
Co-star Aishwarya Rai will no longer be appearing alongside the actor for the one-off set, as she will be attending the Pusan Film Festival instead.
