The film sees Roshan, a disabled magician, wanting to be euthanised after all of his internal organs start failing.
In an interview with New Kerala, he said the film did not make a judgement on 'mercy killings'.
He commented: "This film has changed my life. When your approach to things changes, you don't worry about the small things in life - you don't grumble, you don't get irritated.
"You learn gratitude, that's what this film has taught me."
He added that his experience of having a knee injury had helped him identify with the lead character.
