Chopra is reprising her role as leading lady opposite Shah Rukh Khan, while Dutta is to portray Anita, originally played by Eesha Kophika in Don.
NDTV qoutes a source as saying: "The two barely exchanged hellos with frosty smiles before directing their warmth to Shahrukh and director Farhan Akhtar."
The Bollywood actresses were crowned Miss Universe and Miss World respectively in 2002 and starred together in the 2003 hit Andaaz.
A friend of Chopra’s expressed concern for the effect the atmosphere would have on her after criticism of her latest role in Anjaana Anjaani.
"She left in a depressed frame of mind. The last thing she needs in Berlin is a stressful ambiance," they said.
