The makers of the project, said to be a copy of the Hollywood hit Phone Booth, will now have to pay out damages, reports Hindustan Times.
The film was only granted a release on Friday after producer Sohail Maklai agreed to make the payment.
A source commented: "The bench directives made it clear that the relief granted to them was on the condition that the producer deposits Rs 1.5 crore (£215,000) with the High Court by October 19 and that they maintain accounts related to business done by the movie."
Kangna Ranaut and Irrfan Khan appear alongside Dutt in the action thriller.
