The actress, who is making her International debut with Singularity alongside Josh Hartnett, told DNA India she would always come back to her roots.
"Bollywood has made me who I am. I cannot even think of shifting base anywhere else. I am very clear about my priorities," she said.
While most of Singularity will be shot in India, Basu and the cast are currently filming scenes from the Roland Joffe film in Australia.
The actress said that she would never be able to stay away from her family or actor boyfriend John Abraham for months at a time.
"It will be too much for me. I'll feel homesick," she said.
