After months of speculation as to who would appear in the sequel to the 2004 hit, the Sri Lankan former beauty queen has secured the part, reports Mumbai Mirror.
Producer Mukesh Bhatt said: "The only criterion for the lead girl is that she has to be really sensuous."
The tabloid reports that a number of stars had turned down the chance to appear in Mohit Suri's Bollywood thriller.
Co-producer Mahesh Bhatt revealed: "We have been meeting a lot of actresses including Bipasha Basu, Mallika Sherawat and Sonal Chauhan. I was keen to have Mallika but it didn't work out. Even with Bipasha there were some issues.
"Mohit Suri is a very hard-to-please director. He is not able to make up his mind about the heroine."
The production is expected to begin shooting in 2011.
