On the TV show Koffee with Karan, Khan was quoted as saying that Kapoor should "do more movies, less magazine covers".
Kapoor, who has featured on the cover of Elle, Marie-Claire, Filmfare and Cosmopolitan among others, has defended the amount of fashion shoots she does, describing her workload as on par with other actresses.
Talking about Khan’s statement, the actress said: "Imran is really sweet and I like him, but I can't take someone so wet behind the ears seriously. He still has a lot to do before he makes statements like that."
Kapoor is currently shooting for Pankaj Kapur's Mausam with Shahid Kapoor. She will also be appearing in Anees Bazmee's Thank You with Akshay Kumar and Abbas-Mustan's Players starring Abhishek Bachchan.
