The soundtrack of the film, which stars Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, is reported to feature mainly live recordings.
According to music director Sohail Sen: "Over 90% of the music featured in Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey was actually recorded live, which is a rarity in Bollywood films these days."
Leading figures from the film industry including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher also attended the launch event.
The project is said to be based on the novel Do And Die by Manini Chatterjee about the Chittagong Uprising of 1930.
The period thriller will be released in cinemas on December 3.
