According to Mid-day Producer B K Modi had planned to celebrate the release of his film with a lavish party, asking cast and other Bollywood names to attend.
After many of the crew and cast members including Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna said they were unable to attend, Kapoor allegedly convinced Modi to cancel, saying it would be embarrassing to celebrate without the key people.
"When he didn't get any response from his own cast, Anil Kapoor personally asked him to cancel the party," a source is reported as saying.
"He suggested there shouldn't be a party if no-one is coming to attend it. Modi had to pay heed to Anil's words."
Reports suggest that a negative critical reception to the film had led cast and crew to disassociate themselves from No Problem.
