The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star has said that her focus is now on bringing up her two children Yug and Nyasa, reports Hindustan Times.
When asked when she would next appear onscreen, the actor said: "I can't think of that until Yug is 3-years-old. My babies are wonderful. They are the most important priority in my life now."
Since becoming a mother, Kajol has accepted only a select number of projects in recent years, including Fanaa, U Me Aur Hum and My Name is Khan.
She will, however, feature alongside husband Ajay Devgan in the new animated release Toonpur Ka Super Hero.
The film releases December 24.
