Anees Bazmee has admitted he knew his latest film No Problem was not going to be a success.

The director blamed the writing for the downfall of the film, which stars Sanjay Dutt (pictured), Sunil Shetty, Sushmita Sen and Kangana Ranaut.

In reaction to the negative reaction and poor box office results, the director said: "I knew it even while shooting. The disappointing collections come as no surprise to me.

"There were as many as four writers on board. I'm first and foremost a writer and I need to exercise more control over the screenplay. In future I'll give new writers a chance, but I'll be more in control of the writing."

Opening weekend box office takings for the Aamir Khan-produced film totalled £114,653.

Bazmee is currently filming Thank You starring Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor.
