Director Sajid Khan is said to have made the casting change over Rampal's fee request, Mumbai Mirror reports.
A source for the tabloid revealed: "Arjun is no more a part of the sequel. Rampal demanded a stupendous amount of Rs 2.5 crore (£359,000), which the producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sajid Khan found a bit too much.
"Nadiadwala also had a word with Arjun, but he did not seem to budge from the amount quoted."
The follow-up to the hit comedy is also expected to feature Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar and John Abraham as new additions to the cast.
Filming on the project is scheduled to commence in May 2011.
