According to India Today, the actor met with casting agents in Las Vegas during the filming schedule of Stand By Me.
Although Kapoor is yet to appear in a non-Hindi production, she worked with actors Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards on Kambakkth Ishq last year.
Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mallika Sherawat have both appeared in US films, but their international work has not been as commercially successful as their Indian cinema roles.
Dharma Productions' Stand by Me, which also stars Imran Khan, is to release later in 2011.
