The actor, who will star opposite Salma Hayek in The Driver, will now have to explain to the film's producers why he gave away so much information to the Indian press.
In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, he said: "I said all this because suddenly my friend Anil was all over the place for Mission Impossible.
"I was feeling a little left out and that’s why I did it. The producers called me up; they were a little upset. I guess I jumped the gun and gave out too many details."
In an interview with The Times Of India last year, Grover admitted that he turned down the part of a police officer in Slumdog Millionaire.
