Khan to take on first romantic role

Irrfan Khan is to take the lead for the first time in a romantic film.

The Slumdog Millionaire star is known for taking on challenging parts in both Bollywood and Hollywood films.

In an interview with New Kerala, the actor said: "'Every actor at some point wants to play a romantic role sometime in his career.

"I feel this film will create a feel of romance of a different kind, than those usually seen in Bollywood."

He will be starring opposite Chitrangda Singh for the film, which is titled Yeh Saali Zindagi.
