Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is said to have shelved Heer Ranjha, which would have paired the actors for the first time, the Mumbai Mirror has reported.
Speaking to the paper earlier in the year, Nadiadwala said that Padukone had no issues with the height difference between her and Kapoor, who is shorter.
Despite the comments, a source revealed that Padukone was never contracted to be in the film in the first place.
The 24-year old actress will next be seen in Desi Boyz, a film set in London.
