The organisation, set up by Slumdog Millionaire sound engineer Resul Pookutty, was first noticed by Dench when she was shooting in India.
In an interview with The Times of India, Pookutty praised Bachchan for funding the venture and Khan for stepping in to publicise the project.
He said: "I told [Khan] all about our charity that is being supported by two big luminaries and he was more than keen to support. SRK is a silent benefactor and he too will be with us in this cause."
The Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire was used to promote several charitable causes in India, including Save The Children, after its huge international success.
