The Kal Ho Naa Ho star thanked fans for sending birthday messages through her Twitter account.
The actress posted on the site: "Thank you all 4 the wonderful birthday wishes! I am extremely humbled, touched & very happy to see my twitter page. Ting! Love u all! (sic)"
Zinta, who is making a return to commercial Hindi film in 2011, added: "Before I go 2 bed I wanna say .. Dear God, thank u 4 making me fortunate enough 2 have so many people love me!"
The star has been largely missing from the big screen in recent years, aside from cameo performances in a number of song sequences.
