The Bollywood legend praised several Bollywood newcomers, including the Dabangg star.
Speaking to the Times of India, Dixit said: "I haven't seen many new films, but I saw Dabangg and I really feel Sonakshi Sinha has a lot of potential... her eyes are very pretty and she is quite expressive."
Dixit also noted strong performances from Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor.
Sinha, 23, made her debut in Dabangg after her family friend and co-star Salman Khan coaxed her into acting.
