Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has extended its record as the longest-running Hindi film of all time.

The Aditya Chopra-directed project, commonly abbreviated to DDLJ, is celebrating its 14th year of screening at a Mumbai cinema.

A source commented “DDLJ keeps getting better; it is like old wine. The magic of this evergreen romance keeps pulling audiences to Maratha Mandir.”

It is reported that Yash Chopra is planning to celebrate the 800th week anniversary of the production at either the Maratha Mandir or in a five-star Mumbai hotel.

The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol romantic drama originally released on October 20 1995.
