Rai-Bachchan to lead in 'Satte Pe Satta'

Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan is to take the leading female role in the remake of her father-in-law Amitabh's box office hit Satte Pe Satta.

It was falsely rumoured that Paa actress Vidya Balan was cast in the role originally played by Bollywood legend Hema Malini, according to the Times of India.

The paper reported that Sanjay Dutt, who will perform Bachchan's role in the update, urged director Soham Shah to sign the former Miss World for the film.

Satte Pe Satta is itself a remake of the famed Hollywood musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
