Salman Khan 'aims to relaunch Veer co-star'

Salman Khan is said to be attempting to relaunch the career of actress Zarine Khan.

The Dabangg star has persuaded Anees Bazmee to give her a small role in Ready, reports The Times of India.

"Salman felt Zarine is being left behind for no fault of hers. Salman somehow feels responsible for Zarine's career not taking off. He is trying to get her into his new projects," a source revealed.

The Veer heroine will now film a cameo performance in the Thai resort of Pattaya with Khan and his brother Arbaaz.

Filmmaker Bazmee confirmed: "It's a small scene. We needed Arbaaz and Zarine. Salman's equation with them made it easy for us to get them to agree to do the scene."

The actress is widely considered to share similar physical characteristics to leading Bollywood star Katrina Kaif.
