Kapoor's 'Rockstar' ending 'will shock fans'

Ranbir Kapoor's on-screen death in the upcoming Rockstar could "shock fans", it has been reported.

The lead character of the film, which updates the tragic romance Devdas, is reportedly modelled on Jim Morrison.

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, a source said: "The script's climax originally has Ranbir's character performing on stage and dying while doing so.

"However, Ranbir has a very youthful, very hip and trendy image and there is a line of thought about how Ranbir's target audience will react to his first-ever screen death."

The film also stars Nargis Fakhri, as the woman who drives Kapoor's character to despair through unrequited love.
