The actor, whose performance in Nikhil Advani's Patiala House has been described as "emotionally-charged", returns next month in the comic role.
"Thank You is a laugh-a-minute caper which will have you in splits, continuing with the signature comic style audiences have come to expect from the winning combo of Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee," a source revealed.
Kumar previously collaborated with the filmmaker on Singh is Kinng and Welcome.
The project, which also stars Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan, Sunil Shetty, Celina Jaitley and Rimi Sen, releases in cinemas worldwide on April 8.
