Nargis Fakhri is reportedly defying orders from helmer Imtiaz Ali to keep a low profile before her debut in his film Rockstar.
The New York-born model of Pakistani-Czech origin will be starring as Ranbir Kapoor's love interest in the musical film inspired by the life of tragic Doors singer Jim Morrison.
A source told Mid Day: "[Ali] now feels the girl's devil-may-care attitude will cost him his film. The film is expected to release in August and he worries that the attention around Fakhri might peak and ebb all too soon."
They added that Fakhri's relationship with her co-star is the main problem as the two have been seen out in public frequently.
Fakhri is rumoured to have started dating Kapoor on the sets of the film, prompting a split between the actor and Katrina Kaif.
