The director spoke out on the subject after claims made earlier this week by Payal Rohatgi against Dibaker Banerjee.
Kashyap told IANS: "I stand by Dibakar. Among this generation of directors, not a single director will cast anyone just because he gets to have sex with that person. None of them would ever compromise with the integrity of their films.
"I don't think directors like Dibakar, Anurag [Basu] or Imtiyaz [Ali] would give a role to anyone who was sleeping with them."
Dhol actor Rohatgi made charges against Banerjee after she was rejected for a role in his new production Shanghai.
Kashyap is currently in a high-profile relationship with Kalki Koechlin, who he launched in her debut film Dev D.
Both Koechlin and Kashyap have previously gone on record to say that their relationship did not begin until shooting on the Devdas remake had wrapped.
