Kangana Ranaut birthday party 'stopped'

Kangana Ranaut's 24th birthday party was interrupted by police, who fined the actress for making too much noise, it has been claimed.

Fellow stars Malika Sherawat and Salman Khan had turned up to join the revelries, Mumbai Mirror reports.

However, police arrived to stop the celebrations after they appeared to get out of hand.

A source told the paper: "Either a neighbour had complained about the loud music or a bunch of cops were on one of their usual rounds in the night."

According to the site, several big names were conspicuous by their absence, including friends Ekta Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan.

Ranaut can be currently seen in the film Game, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan.
