Abhishek Bachchan promotes drug awareness

Abhishek Bachchan has promoted awareness of drug abuse in India as part of a citizen education campaign.

The actor launched the Awareness Day race, which celebrated the silver jubilee of the country's Narcotics Control Bureau.

He told followers on Twitter: "Just flagged of a great initiative by the Narcotics Control Bureau - say no to drugs! They're doing great work in helping educate people."

Bachchan's forthcoming film Dum Daro Dum is about the Goan party scene and is set to feature a segment wherein the actor showcases his rap skills.

The film also stars Bipasha Basu and will see Deepika Padukone performing an item number.
