The design for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which shows a bare-chested Roshan with co-stars Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar, is strikingly similar to the image for 2005's Lords of Dogtown.
According to The Times of India, the two posters are almost identical in both their styling and the representation of three protagonists advancing forward into the frame.
The earlier US film, which starred Heath Ledger, presented the three leads with skateboards. In the Bollywood poster, Roshan is instead seen holding a motorcycle helmet.
Other Hindi films to have adopted poster designs from US releases include Drona, Ugly Aur Pagli and Runway.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the follow-up to Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance, releases in the summer.
