Sharman Joshi has signed a deal that will see him launched as a lead actor in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's next release.
Joshi will take the main role in Ferrari Ki Sawari, reports Hindustan Times.
The star said that despite taking on a solo project, he does not feel pressured: "I just go out there and enjoy my work," he said. "I'm happy doing what I'm doing. All the other things that follow or are attached to it are just by-products."
The theatre-trained actor has recently appeared in commercially successful ensemble projects including 3 Idiots and the Golmaal series.
Joshi also joins leading film actors including Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan in endorsing a leading soft drinks brand.
The actor, who will front a campaign for 7 Up, commented: "The only thing that concerns me is whether I, as an actor, am doing enough."
