The Golmaal star has reprised a similar look to his junior artist attire of 2007's Om Shanti Om, in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's new production.
Talpade revealed to Hindustan Times: "I went through crazy wardrobe changes with the stylist before settling on bright polyester shirts."
The theatre-trained performer, who essays the role of Fancy Gill, a Hollywood-obsessed struggling actor, noted: "It's crazy stuff, but I really enjoyed it."
Talpade, who is currently appearing on Indian television in Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla, added: "I'd love to produce comedies - I'm revisiting my theatre days with my comedy show. Getting the scripts right is a task, and I'm really enjoying this at the moment."
The actor recently started filming Joker, Shirish Kunder's follow-up to Jaan-e-maan.
