The actor, who will be seen next in Chalo Dilli with Lara Dutta, said that until the success of the 2007 comedy producers were unwilling to work with him.
"After Bheja Fry the attitude of people in the industry towards me changed," Pathak revealed. "As the film became a super hit people came with money, hung up a price tag around my neck [and] my market value increased."
The actor, who is known for playing a wide variety of roles, added: "I sign the film after I am satisfied with the script and the character. Be it Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi or Anil Mehta's Aaja Nachle or Sagar Bellary's Bheja Fry or Shashant Shah's Dasvidaaniya.
Pathak said that he is confident about his upcoming release with Dutta, scheduled to hit cinemas April 29.
"I am sure the film will be a super hit," the actor revealed.
