Mallika Sherawat has allegedly hired her own paparazzi to follow her around in Hollywood.
The actress is currently promoting her US film Love, Barack which takes place against the backdrop of the 2008 presidential elections.
Love, Barack is reportedly going straight to DVD after distributors failed to pick it up.
A source told Mid Day: "Recently Mallika was spotted talking to a cameraman following and taping her as she walked.
"It was later revealed that he was her friend who simply posed as a paparazzi guy."
Sherawat's first major Hollywood film Hisss, directed by Jennifer Lynch, bombed at the box-office.
She is currently based in the US, and was seen making an appearance at the Oscars alongside fellow Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan.
